Topic: Building a Christ-Centered Home

Building a Christ-centered home requires intentionality. When you love Jesus, you’ll give Him your time, attention, and energy. You won’t be checking the clock—you’ll be eager to be in His presence. There’s a difference between righteous and unrighteous households. Christ centered homes are marked by love for God, consistency, integrity, discipline, and worship.

Key Scriptures & Takeaways

Deuteronomy 5:12 / Genesis 2:2 – Honor the Sabbath.
A Christ-centered family values the presence of God and honors His commands. The Sabbath is not optional—it’s a command to rest and reconnect with God.

Psalm 122:1 / Psalm 16:11 – Be glad to be in God’s house.
There is joy and fulfillment in being in the house of the Lord. We work all week— Sunday is a time to worship and recharge spiritually.

Hebrews 10:25 / 1 Corinthians 5:4 – Don’t neglect gathering together.
Church is where we encounter God’s Spirit, experience breakthrough, and receive revelation. We gain strength and encouragement through fellowship

Train Up Your Children
Teach children God’s Word—it will guide them even when you’re not around. The Word of God protects and speaks to them through the Holy Spirit.

Marks of a Christ-Centered Home

Moral Character – Humility, honesty, integrity, generosity.
In a Christ-centered home, people are the same inside and outside of church. Integrity attracts God’s favor.

Joseph’s Example
Joseph chose righteousness and refused temptation. Though he was falsely accused and imprisoned, his integrity led to promotion.

Discipline & Self-Control
Protect your spiritual life. If you know certain things tempt you, avoid them. Live right to enjoy God’s blessings.

Transformation Through Christ
Zacchaeus was changed by one encounter with Jesus. A Christ-centered home is marked by real spiritual transformation.

Speech Matters
Let your words be holy. What we say reflects the condition of our hearts and home.
