Pastor Bossman
Topic: How Do I Know My Home Is Christ-Centered?

A Christ-centered home is one where Jesus is at the core of daily life and decisions—a home built to honor God in all things. Without God, there is no direction. God must be the foundation, commander, and chief in your home.

Psalm 11:3 – “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Without a godly foundation, the family cannot stand.

Key Scriptures & Takeaways

Joy vs. Happiness
Joy is lasting and rooted in God.
Nehemiah 8:10 – “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Prophesy: Your home will be filled with the joy of the Lord.

We Are Not of This World
John 17:16 – Our homes can’t be built on worldly values.
Our lifestyle must be guided by the Holy Book, not Hollywood.

Christ at the Center Brings Blessing
Hebrews 3:4 – “Every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of all things.”
1 Corinthians 3:10 – We build with the grace God gives.
If the Word of God is your foundation, your home will not be shaken.

Legacy Matters
Jonathan Edwards, a man of faith, left a legacy of influence across generations.
What legacy will your family leave behind?
Building on Christ ensures long-term impact beyond material wealth.

Take Ownership in the Home
Parents must lead spiritually.
Joshua 24 – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
The Word of God is a seed that transforms homes.

Principles for a Christ-Centered Home

● Practice core biblical values – Honoring God protects and strengthens your family.

● Stay spiritually alert –
Jude 1:4 warns against ungodly influences.
Guard your home from what enters through TV, social media, books, and group
chats.

Discern people and their fruit – Love everyone, but ask God for clarity and wisdom.

Be involved with your children
Track their location, monitor influences, and pray for protection from peer pressure.
2 Kings 2:23–24 – Elisha was mocked by children and responded with spiritual
authority. Teach your children reverence and honor.

Final Encouragement

Let’s build homes that invite peace, blessings, and the presence of God.
Hold family meetings, speak life, and stay focused on Christ.
Declare it:

Jesus is coming into my home. He is my shield and refuge. His glory will be visible
in my house. My children and I are blessed. We will build our home on Christ.
Amen.
