Pastor Sally Bossman
Topic: More Than a Title — More Than a Woman

Introduction:

As women, we carry many titles—wife, mother, daughter, friend, employee—but we are so much more than titles. God has called, chosen, and commissioned us. Our identity isn’t found in labels or accomplishments, but in Christ.

Romans 8:28–30 reminds us that:

  • We are predestined
  • We are justified
  • We are glorified

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose…” (Romans 8:28–30)

God defines your worth. Never let your situation or others do that for you.

You Are Called with Purpose

You are:

  • A generational influencer
  • A generational shaper
  • A community builder
  • A spiritual nurturer

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation…” (1 Peter 2:9)
You were created to proclaim who God made you to be.

Biblical Examples of Women Who Were Called

  • Eve – Called “the mother of all living” (Genesis 3:20) before she ever gave birth.
  • Deborah – Called a “mother of Israel,” judge, and prophetess (Judges 4:4–7).
  • Lois and Eunice – Passed on faith to Timothy (2 Timothy 1:5); a legacy of belief.

These women weren’t just titles—they were carriers of destiny.

The Call to Influence

Women of faith are called to mentor, nurture, and lead the next generation.

“The wise woman builds her house…” (Proverbs 14:1)

Your influence begins at home:

  • Children follow what they see
  • Walk in integrity and godly discipline
  • Build a foundation rooted in Scripture
  • Let your example shape the future

You Are Not Defined By:

  • Your paycheck
  • Your relationship status
  • Your title or job
  • Whether you have children

Instead, God defines you:

“Greetings, you who are highly favored…” (Luke 1:28)

You are:

  • Highly favored
  • Highly valued
  • Seen and known by God
  • Entrusted with a womb of promise

Even if you feel unseen, God knows your name and your sacrifices.

The Charge to Women of Faith

  • Be intentional in prayer
  • Walk in forgiveness — toward others and yourself
  • Mentor someone — pour into another woman
  • Live out godly values — let Christ be seen in your home
  • Let charity and Christlikeness start with you

Closing Declaration:

You are more than a title.
You are a daughter of the King.
You are called.
You are equipped.
You are assigned.

Ask yourself:
Who can I mentor? Who can I bless with godly values?

May you rise boldly in your identity, walk confidently in your calling, and pour into others with grace.

Amen.
